A lot of you have been asking me to go into more detail about the wordpress themes that I use for my offline local business clients. I get emails all the time…people asking which themes I recommend they use for creating a website for an offline business.
Like this person who wrote to me recently…
"Is there a WP theme or templates that are specifically tailored to different types of local businesses?I've done a couple of websites for local businesses and I find I spend a lot of time customizing a theme. Wish there were solutions that had most of that kind of work done already."
The truth is, there really aren't that many premium wordpress themes that are "local business ready". Sure, there are some great looking premium wordpress themes available that provide a solid starting point for building a website for a local business…but most themes are geared towards bloggers and online businesses.
So, like the person who wrote to me above…I asked myself this question when I first started as well.
My answer was to pick a select few of the premium wordpress themes on the market that are "close" to being perfect for use with local businesses, and then customize them to where I wanted them…and that's how I've built most of my client's websites.
Based on the feedback I receive via email and here on my blog, it has become clear to me that a lot of you are struggling with the same problems I once did…

A lot of the premium wordpress themes on the market right now require a lot of customization to get them were we or our clients want them. This requires us to have graphic design skills and we will need to know some html and php coding.
Even if you are a killer graphic designer or code monkey, customizing the themes in great detail requires lots of time (trust me!), or around $100 – $500 to hire someone to do all the work for you.
So, I've decided to fix this problem for you.

If you offer web design services to local offline business owners or do some offline site flipping like me, I think these customized theme packages will make your life a lot easier as they do for me.
Also, keep in mind that if you were to buy one of these themes brand new and BEFORE customization, you'd spend around $79!! But the ENTIRE Offline Power Pack will only cost a mere fraction of that.

#1. They allowed me to have a portfolio BEFORE I even had a portfolio to show potential clients. It is true that it can be difficult when trying to land your first offline client if you have no track record of happy clients…or at least some proof that you have worked with other business owners.
Walla! Instant credibility and proof that you can build them a nice looking site.
#2. They save me lots of time and allow me to make more money per client. You all know that I'm against offering custom web design to offline clients…unless they are willing to pay the price that it's worth. In my case that's around $1,500 – $2,000+ per site on average.
But, not all small businesses will be willing or able to pay a price like that for a custom website design. Sure, there are lots of businesses out there who can, but when you're just starting out…it can be difficult to land those type of clients.
That's why I largely recommend those just starting out or in the early stages of their offline consulting business to offer some type of "ready to go" website solution that runs around the $500-$700 price range as most small business owners can afford this.
So, after I created my 3 "ready to go" website (theme) examples, I sold "copies" of them to local business owners. Of course I had to customize each site for each business but since I already had a "framework" to build on, my job became a lot easier and I was able to crank these sites out in NO TIME.
I and my team still do this today with these 3 theme packages. Everything is already there. When I get a new client, I just grab one of the 3 themes and I or someone from my team begins customizing it to match their business.
As you can see, this saves a lot of time. I easily charge $600 for these type of "ready to go" websites and they get cranked out in a day or so.
Compare this to starting with a blank slate and create everything from scratch, and you'll see what I mean.
