Birthday Club Profits for Offline Businesses

Have you ever received a coupon on your birthday from a business that you bought something from before? I know I have.

A lot of smart companies use Birthday Email Clubs to keep in touch with their customers and give them a reason to do business with them during their birthday month.

In the video above, I talk about how you can easily charge $497 for setting up Birthday Email Clubs for offline businesses.

It’s actually pretty easy to do, and profitable as it only takes about 1 hr to setup from beginning to end.

The best part is, most local businesses “get” what a Birthday Club is, which makes it easier for us to make the sale.

For those who want to learn more:

This coming Tuesday – November 15th, 2011 @ 2PM EST I’ll be releasing a new WSO called “Birthday Club Profits”.

It’s going to show you how to sell and setup a Birthday Email Club service for local businesses and charge $497 for it. Easily.

If you have any questions, just post below and I’ll be glad to answer them!

Oh…and Paper Domination is finally being released…it goes live the SAME DAY as Birthday Club Profits.

Talk soon!

-Peter

thx for the video…I’ve had thoughts about adding something like that to my service-list but wasnt really sure on how to go about it. Your video cleared up those thoughts for me!!! Looking forward to your Birthday Club WSO! (already have Paper Domination)

Great idea. I have promoted similar ideas in the past as an angle to get in the door with a client. Auto-responders are great to promote to clients to get your foot in the door.

At first I didn’t really put a price tag on setting one up for a client while developing their website. I looked at it as just another piece of the website and had the customer buy from my affiliate link. I had originally used Aweber and had difficulties getting paid on time…so after several months I moved to a more robust auto-responder, constant contact. They have more support for us after we become an affiliate and they even dedicate a rep (over the phone) to you. The few things I didn’t like about Constant Contact is that you only get ONE generic thank you page for all your op-tins no matter what list.

I won’t bother with rambling on about the different auto-responders, but after investing my time to really learn everything I decided my time learning was worth something. After all, if I wasn’t doing it for them…the client would have to spend a bit of time learning it himself. Time is money. So now I charge anywhere from $99 to $495 to bring the idea to them, create, install and train them.

Peter, I like the birthday club idea. Never used it. Just may have to pick up your new WSO!

    Thanks,

    Gary Hurter

Great way tp proceed Peter with the print-put of the email.

I have as yet problems of thinking about the issuance of discount coupons.

Your desceiption on how to use it on Restaurants ^&even a Spa – for a couple is.

But the benrfit for a – say a Hair Saloon – is not that clear unless it is only Relationship Management.

    Thanks Much.

    • Peter Beattie says:

      Hey Dileepa,

This works best for restaurants, in my opinion.

But for the hair salons and similar businesses, it could be tweaked to something like:

      - a certain percentage off (rather than free)
      - bring in a friend and get a free haircut

The obvious benefit for restaurants is people usually go out to eat in groups which means more business and possibly new customers who will come back for more in the future.

The Birthday Club sounds interesting and probably another of your WSOs I purchase.

Can you provide a video or more details about Paper Domination?

Will they Birthday Club and Domination be offered separately or will there be a “buy both” option for at a reduced price?

    • Peter Beattie says:

      Hey Reg,

Paper Domination is about an “old school” marketing method that still works.

Basically it’s about how to give restaurants free menus and place mats and make thousands of dollars
in the process by selling ad space on them to local businesses.

It’s a pretty cool technique that is irresistible to restaurants (because they get free stuff), and a good deal for local businesses because they can get their ads/offers in front of the local community for a low price.

I’ll have a video that explains it in more detail next week, but it’s def. an awesome and “out of the box” method that works.

      -Peter

  6. Great idea. I created a text message birthday club using Twilio and OpenVBX. Customer calls a local number then enters the number that corresponds to their birthday month. That puts them on the list for that month. Then on the first of the month, it sends the coupon via text to the whole list.

  7. Tom McGaughan says:

uhhh…Massage Parlors? I am sure that was just a Freudian slip!! or at least a pre-girlfriend happy ending experience!
    See you on Tuesday…

I am sure you recognize my name!!

    Tom

  8. Pat says:

I saw this suggested on the WF before but no real details. Thanks for sharing the info looking forward to the WSO.

  9. Warren says:

Do you charge an on going monthly fee to the business owner for hosting the Birthday Club?

    Warren

    • Peter Beattie says:

Hey Warren….you certainly could, but I don’t. But you can earn monthly commissions from the auto responder company if you sign up your client thru your affiliate links. This is what I do:

      - one time setup fee ($497)
      - monthly commissions from auto responder

      -Peter

  10. Rob says:

    Great info as usual Peter.
Looking forward to seeing your new WSO’s on Tuesday.

    Thanks,

    Rob

  11. brian says:

    Hi,

just wondering about the birthday club system…maybe a stupid question but

    1. how does the business build a list with customers birthdays and get them on aweber????

I quess I want to understand how do we get the business excited and capturing leads

    Regards,

    Brian

    • Peter Beattie says:

Hey Brian…that’s all part of how we set it up. Trust me, it’s very easy to do and to automate.

You get them excited because it will show them how to generate them new business and customers…and how other companies are doing it. In other words, you gotta make them see the main benefits and the results in advance. Once you do that, they’re sold.

      Hope this helps,
      -Peter

  12. Doug says:

    Awesome video Peter,
I am very excited about the WSO for both of these products! I can always use more ammo in my
    arsenal of services.

    Be Blessed, Doug

  14. John says:

    Hey Peter,

Can you describe what Paper Domination all about? I’ve never heard of it.

    John
